ILYouth2 Studio Accessibility Info
ILYouth2 is located at 925 NW Flanders St, Portland, OR 97209 (in the Pearl District).
-
ILYouth2 / ILY2 is the NW corner building at the intersection of NW Flanders St and NW 9th Ave. Our entrance is inside a vestibule on NW Flanders.
There are several steps leading up to our door. We have a lift available for wheelchair users and folks for whom stairs are not accessible.
*We are working to update this information for our new location! It will soon include lift access info, the number of steps, and front door width.
-
There is paid street parking in ILYouth2’s neighborhood. We recommend using the Parking Kitty app, but there are also pay stations. If you’re just dropping off, you can select a 15min duration.
There is also a paid parking lot about a block away, between NW Flanders St and NW Glisan St, with entrances on NW 9th Ave and NW Park Ave.
-
Please always check Trimet to plan your own travel, but ILYouth2 is around the block from the NW 10th & Glisan (NS, B) Streetcar and (77) bus stops.
-
ILYouth2 has wifi available for instructors and programming participants.
-
Participants are allowed to bring cell phones and other devices to ILYouth2, but whether they are allowed to be used during programming is dependent on multiple factors, and folks may be asked to put them away.
We encourage folks of all ages to be unplugged and present in our studio.
-
ILYouth2 has a single stall, all gender restroom.
Please note that during youth programming, the ILYouth2 restroom is for youth participants and staff only.
*We are working to update this information for our new location! It will soon include door width, handle bar info, etc.
-
Youth, parents, instructors, and other visitors are welcome to bring labeled, nut-free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to our space.
We have water and cups available.
Please note that ILYouth2 does not have the ability to refrigerate or heat participant food.
-
ILYouth2 strives to be nut-free, though as a community space we cannot guarantee this. Please do not bring in food or products that contain nuts/nut products.
We ask about youth allergies ahead of camps, and will alert families if there are food items that cannot come in.
-
ILYouth2 has overhead, dimmable spot lighting. It also gets a lot of daylight on sunny days.
-
ILYouth2 will sometimes have music playing, we’re happy to adjust the volume for everyone’s comfort. There is some ambient/street sound that comes into the space from outside.
We keep ear plugs at the front desk and encourage folks who might need them to bring their own noise cancelling headphones.
-
ILYouth2 is an indoor space with heat and air conditioning.
We keep two HEPA rated air purifiers running.
-
ILYouth2 does not currently require masks, but some members of our team and youth community wear them regularly.
By instructor/organizer request, some programming may be masks-required or masks-encouraged (noted in programming descriptions).
In general, please be mindful that wearing an N95/KN95 is the best tool to reduce the risk of spreading any virus, which protects our whole community–particularly immune compromised, chronically ill, and disabled community members.
We have both youth and adult sized KN95s available at our front desk.
We have hand sanitizer available, and two sinks for hand-washing.
We ask that you not visit our space if you have cold/flu symptoms or have been in recent close contact with someone who is sick and may be contagious.
-
Please let us know if an ILYouth2 participant needs specific accommodations that are not covered here, and we will do our best to meet them.
We welcome youth to bring items like sensory/stim toys, noise reduction headphones, etc. to any of our programming.
-
ILYouth2 strives to be a safe space. We say “safer” because we recognize that creating safety is an ongoing, dynamic process that requires active effort, ongoing care, and accountability.
We have zero tolerance for racism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, ageism or other forms of bigotry and discrimination.
We value consent, boundaries, and intentional communication.
If actions or behavior occurs that violates this policy or otherwise makes members of our community feel unsafe, ILYouth / ILY2 staff will have a conversation with all involved parties, and individuals may be temporarily or permanently banned from the studio.
If something happens at ILYouth2 / ILY2 that makes you feel unsafe, please let us know as soon as you are able to, either in-person or via email.
