ABOUT: A hands-on art camp for comics, cartooning, and storytelling. We will design our own characters, make comic strips, and draw a full-page comic by the end of the week! Comics Camp welcomes artists, creatives and storytellers of all levels. Let’s explore ways to let our imaginations run wild through COMICS!
INSTRUCTOR BIO: Camilo Velasco (they/them) is queer comic artist and creative living in the liminal space between Columbus, OH and Portland, OR. Their biggest inspirations are magical realism and mid 2000s webcomics.
They have been published in anthologies such as: Spitball, The OHC Comic Anthology, Pointed Circle, and Zocalo Public Square.
