  • Ages 7 - 17

  • $30 - $15 - $5 sliding scale (covers materials/studio access)*

  • Scholarships available

  • 2x monthly, recurring (typically 1st and 3rd Friday but check our calendar to confirm!)

  • 12-3pm, drop-in style hangout (stay for full or partial time ; bring a lunch if you’d like!)

  • Pre-registration is not required, but youth must be registered (via this page) and have an active Liability Waiver with ILYouth2 to participate. Youth who’d like to leave the studio on their own (ie: not be checked-out by a parent/guardian) must also have an active Independent Release Waiver with ILYouth2.

Home School Studio is recurring (2x a month) studio hangout for home schoolers, unschoolers, and other independent learners!

During each hangout, ILYouth2 staff will have a project that youth are encouraged to try out — but youth are also welcome to bring their own art projects that they’re working on (especially if they’d like some support from peers or ILYouth2 staff!), or to use ILYouth2’s drawing and collage materials.

Parents/guardians are welcome to hang out in our gallery/shop area (directly adjacent and open to the studio) during Home School, if it is helpful to and consensual with their kiddo(s).

*Pricing is currently per-session. Spots do not expire, you can buy any time and it will only count once you’ve used it (eg: you could buy a spot in March and come to a May session).

For more information on our sliding scale tiers, scroll to the bottom of this page.

This hangout is facilitated by ILYouth2 director Daelyn Lambi and assistant director Ever Milo Reid, who each have over a decade of experience working with home schoolers!

Our pricing tiers are sliding scale. Please choose what is comfortable for your family at this moment in time. “Tier One: Full Cost” is for families who are able to comfortably and consistently meet their needs, and enjoy leisure. “Tier 2: Discounted” is for families who are generally able to meet their needs and do not experience significant financial stresses, but cannot comfortably afford Tier One. “Tier 3: Discounted” is for families who lack significant financial privilege and are not always able to meet their needs. Reference the graphic below or visit our Scholarships & Sliding Scale page for more information.

  • We recognize that the discounted tiers may still not be accessible to every family, so we have both partial and full scholarship spots available. Please fill out the form on our Scholarships & Sliding Scale page to request a scholarship code.
