In this one-day camp we’ll be looking at the function of monsters across time and culture! Monsters can be ways to make tangible our fears, anxieties, oppressors—or they can act as protectors. Do monsters inspire us to be heroes, or are they misunderstood? We’ll look at monsters in art, then create our own stories and the monsters that inhabit them, using a variety of mediums ranging from 3d cardboard masks to 2d papercut collage paintings.

(Pairs well with our Worldbuilding camp on Monday, April 6th!)
