For this extra fun week of summer camp, we’re bringing you a different teaching artist and theme EACH DAY! Sign up for individual days a la carte, or come along for the full weeklong ride through various art forms and modes of expression!
Fri: Drag!
Whether you’re a drag fanatic or just wanting a new fun way to express yourself through performance, Drag Camp! is the place to be! We will explore our passions, music interests, and creative skills to create our own drag personas while learning essential drag history along the way. Local drag artist, The Eggboy, will share tips and tricks for a great drag performance, and by the end of the day, we’ll all be strutting down the ILYouthtoo runway with confidence! You can expect to come home with makeup/face paint on your face, to come home a lip sync assassin(master/expert), and to be excited for the next ILYouth2 all ages drag show!
About the instructor: Ever
Ever Milo Reid also known as The Eggboy is a multidisciplinary local artist and arts educator who got his start in drag helping to produce all ages drag shows at Marrow in 2018. He has a passion for creating spaces that encourage expressing yourself through art, and using art as a tool for fostering community. Ever was on the organizing team for many community events including the Oregon Queer Youth Summit and Queer Rock Camp Portland. Ey’re excited to be back in the ILYouth2 space for Drag Camp!!
