Shapeshift Studio!

from $5.00
  • Ages 10 - 17

  • $5-$15-$30 sliding scale (covers materials/studio access)*

  • Scholarships available

  • Monthly, recurring (typically 3rd Saturday but check our calendar to confirm!)

  • 12-3pm, drop-in style hangout (stay for full or partial time ; bring a lunch if you’d like!)

  • Youth must have an active Liability Waiver with ILYouth2 to participate. Youth who’d like to leave the studio on their own (ie: not be checked-out by a parent/guardian) must also have an active Independent Release Waiver with ILYouth2.

Shapeshift Studio is a monthly creative hangout for young therians and other youth who are interested in or curious about therians (otherkin and furries are welcome)! It is a space for middle and high schoolers to work on masks, tails, and creative projects ; have some space for quadrobics ; share about their theriotype ; and just connect with peers with shared identities, since this can be a smaller IRL community for young folks.

*Pricing is currently per-hangout. Spots do not expire, you can buy any time and it will only count once you’ve used it (eg: you could buy a spot in November and come to a January Hangout).

If this proves to be a popular event, we may create a “membership” where families can buy several months at a reduced rate. Stay tuned!

For more information on our sliding scale tiers, scroll to the bottom of this page.

This hangout is facilitated by ILYouth2 director daelyn lambi (at the request of several of our therian youth artists!) daelyn is not a therian but is relatively educated on and hugely supportive of therians, furries, otherkins, and the many adjacent ways that people of all ages playfully explore identity and embodiment. They are especially invested in holding safe and intentional space for therian youth because of the higher rates of LGBTQIA2s+ and neurodivergent folks in the therian community. During these hangouts, daelyn really enjoys helping youth problem-solve creative projects, like constructing masks from scratch, using affordable and recycled materials.
